Sahara Refund Portal - Reclaim Your Investments in 6 Easy Steps!
Good news for eligible investors! The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) has launched the Sahara Refund Portal, a ray of hope for crores of depositors who wish to reclaim their hard-earned money from four Sahara Group cooperative Societies.
According to Amit Shah Ji, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, the first payment of up to Rs 10,000 would be made through this portal to one crore investors who have deposited Rs 10,000 or more.
Who's eligible for a refund?
Depositors from the following Sahara Group Co-operative Societies can now claim their refunds:
- Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.
- Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow.
- Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal.
- Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad.
Eligibility Criteria for filing a claim:
If you have made deposits and have outstanding dues receivable before the following dates, you are eligible to file a refund claim:

How to file a refund claim in 6 simple steps:
Step 1: Register on the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal's homepage.
Step 2: Click on "Depositor Login" after registration.
Step 3: Enter the last four digits of your Aadhaar card and the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
Step 4: Receive an OTP after selecting "Get OTP" on the page.
Step 5: Verify OTP to log in successfully.
Step 6: Submit the required documents and wait for the refund!
Documents required for a hassle-free refund:
To claim your refund, make sure you have the following documents ready:
- Membership number.
- Deposit Account number.
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number (mandatory).
- Deposit certificates/Passbook.
- PAN (for claim amounts Rs 50,000 and above).

The refund amount will be credited to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account within 45 days, subject to fund availability. Stay updated on the status of your refund via SMS and the portal.
